GOVERNMENT OF KERALA SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME
The salient features of the scheme are given below
  Income per mensum Rate of scholarship Amount of scholarship and clothing allowance
a. Upto Rs 15,000/- Full Scholarship plus clothing allowance Rs 21,000/- per annum plus Rs.1000/- for clothing allowance in the first year and Rs 500 in subsequent years.

¾ Scholarship plus clothing allowance Rs 15,750/- per annum plus Rs 1000 for clothing allowance in the first year and Rs 500 in the subsequent years
c.

Rs.20,001/-

To

Rs.25,000/-

½ scholarship Rs.10,500/- per annum (No Clothing allowance)


NOTES
I. The scholarship will be tenable in all sainik Schools in India or as per Govt.policy.
II. The Scholarship would be awarded to all eligible Kerala domiciled boys who qualify in the entrance examination and who are admitted to the schools depending upon the parents income.
 
III. Scholarship documents including income certificates  / salary certificates will be submitted at the time of admission for the grant of scholarship.
 
IV. If after the award of scholarship the cadet is found medically unfit in any way which according to the appropriate medical authority , renders him unfit for his entry in to the NDA the scholarship awarded shall be discontinued from the date the cadet is declared unfit.
 
V. All Kerala Government scholarship holders have to execute a bond with the State Government on stamp paper as per the specimen issued by the school.
 
VI. Merit Scholarships  for Rank holders in the entrance examinations will be awarded as per the direction of the Govt. of Kerala and the order in force.
 


MINISTRY OF DEFENCE SCHOLARSHIP
1. In the case of serving personnel and ex-servicemen of defence services,the amount of Ministry of defences would be determined on the basis of their rank and not the emoluments or the annual income of the personnel scholarship to children of service personnel will be admissible as under :-
(a) Children of NCOs & ORs Full Scholarship 32000/-
(b) Children of JCO's and their equivalent in the other services Half Scholarship 16000/-
(c) Children of officers and their equivalent in the other Services No Scholarship  
In the Case of children of ex-service men
(a) Children of NCOs & ORs Full Scholarship 32000/-
(b) Children Of JCOs and their equivalent in other services Half Scholarship 16000/-
(c) Children of officers and their equivalents in the other services No scholarship  


Note:- All serving Defence Personnel have to submit service certificate every year for
  getting scholarship from Ministry of Defence. All ex-servicemen have to submit the following certificates every year for getting scholarship from ministry of defence
(a) Pension Certificate from Bank.
(b) Ex-service certificate from Dist. Sainik Welfare Board.
(c) Copy of discharge certificate. If the same is not available the discharge certificate No.should be mentioned in the Ex-servicemen certificate issued from Dist. Sainik Welfare Board.
(d) If the ex-servicemen is not eligible for pension, then attested copy of discharge certificate / Ex Servicemen identification card showing that he is not eligible for pension.


SAINIK SCHOOLS SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR BOYS BELONGING TO UNION TERRITORIES
The Government of India has instituted 150 Scholarships every year for the benefit of boys coming from the Union Territories for education in Sainik Schools. The Scholarships under this scheme will be awarded on merit-cum-means basis by the Ministry of Home affairs in respect of boys coming from the Union Territories.
